Welcome to the e-learning environment communication policy page. This policy aims to foster a safe and effective e-learning environment where students, trainees, and faculty can interact and communicate in a respectful and productive manner. Please read this policy carefully to understand the communication tools and channels available, the communication etiquette required, and the actions that will be taken if these rules are violated.
1. Communication tools and channels
To ensure a successful learning experience, a variety of tools and channels have been provided to facilitate communication between beneficiaries within the system:
- Discussions via the Learning Management System (LMS):
- Discussion forums: You can ask questions and discuss course-related topics with your classmates and instructors.
- Live discussion rooms: Live sessions that allow you to interact instantly with others.
- Email:
- You can use email for official communication with faculty or support staff.
- Online forums:
- Forums for each course or training program to exchange ideas and feedback.
- Virtual meetings:
- Platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams are used for meetings and interactive sessions.
- Instant messaging within the system:
- Direct messaging feature within the LMS to facilitate individual or group communication.
2. Communication etiquette
To maintain a positive and respectful learning environment, all patrons must adhere to the following etiquette:
- Mutual respect:
- Treat everyone with kindness and respect, and avoid any words or actions that could be considered offensive or inappropriate.
- Clarity and conciseness:
- Make sure your messages are clear and direct to avoid any misunderstandings.
- Do not discuss sensitive topics:
- Avoid discussing political or religious issues or any topic that may lead to divisions or controversy.
- Commitment to the topic:
- Focus only on topics that are relevant to your course or training.
- Confidentiality and privacy:
- Do not share personal or private information of any patron without explicit permission.
- Positive attitude:
- Encourage your colleagues and be supportive of them in achieving their learning goals.
3. Procedure for violating communication etiquette
The system administrator maintains a strict policy to ensure adherence to communication etiquette. In the event of any violation, the following actions will be taken:
- First alert:
- If a violation is reported or inappropriate behavior is observed, a formal alert will be sent to the offender with an explanation of the unacceptable behavior.
- Second alert:
- If the offense is repeated after the first warning, a final warning will be sent with a warning of possible consequences.
- Temporary or permanent suspension:
- If inappropriate behavior continues after two warnings, the offender's account will be temporarily or permanently suspended, depending on the severity of the offense.
- Legal reports:
- If the violation constitutes a legal offense (such as harassment or defamation), an official report will be filed with the relevant authorities.
