specialized training course in: radiation protection and safety of radioactive sources for a period of ten months
Objective:
This program aims to qualify and prepare specialists and experts capable of understanding, knowing, and using the basics of nuclear and radiation physics, the interaction of radiation with matter, radiological units, and measurements, the biological effects of radiation in its work, distinguishing between types of radioactive detectors, how to choose the appropriate detector for the work, and the laws and regulations regulating radioactive work, how to deal with radioactive materials in transportation and storage, treat radioactive waste, response to radiation emergencies, and how to calculate radiation doses. Protecting nuclear and radioactive materials during their use, transport, and storage, and monitoring their movement and any related illegal activities.
